  (EN) Methods and compositions are provided for treatment of infections, including Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacterial infections, comprising administering an aminoglycoside antibiotic in combination with a substituted guanidine or other compound as disclosed herein. Preferred methods and compositions of the invention will be effective against infections previously treated with aminoglycoside antibiotics, but with decreased occurrence of ototoxicity.(FR) Cette invention se rapporte à des procédés et à des compositions de traitement des infections, et notamment des infections bactériennes à bacilles gram négatif et gram positif. Lesdits procédés consistent à administrer un aminoside en association à une guanidine substituée ou à un autre composé. Les compositions et procédés préférés de cette invention permettent de traiter efficacement, et avec un risque réduit d'ototoxicité, des infections qui étaient par le passé traitées par des aminosides.
