The reactions of thiosemicarbazide (TSC), thiocarbohydrazide, and hydrazine thiocarbamate with oxyketones, haloketones, and derivatives of acetylenic alcohols were studied. Thiadiazines bearing exocyclic thio and hydrazo groups were synthesized. Acetylenic alcohols react with TSC to give the corresponding thiazolidines.
