  Substituted phenyl (thiono) carbamates capable of effectively controlling broad-leaved annual weeds and annual weeds belonging to the families Gramineae and Cyperaceae such as wild Echinochloa species, monochoria, toothcup and umbrella plant, herbicidal compositions containing these (thiono) carbamates as active ingredient and a method of controlling weeds using these (thiono) carbamates.
