  1-(2-Phenylethynyl-3-thienyl)-4-[2-(triisopropylsilyl)ethynyl-3-thienyl]benzene derivative, bearing both a polar oligo(ethyleneglycol) chain and hydrophobic alkyl chains, was prepared.
