The presented silica-supported ionic liquid has been applied as a highly effective, heterogeneous, easy regenerable, and reusable catalytic system for the solvent-free condensation of arylaldehydes with β-naphthol and alkyl carbamates leading to α-carbamatoalkyl-β-naphthols.
