  (EN) A process for the preparation of sulphonated distyryl-biphenyl compounds of formula (1), in which R1 and R2, independently, are hydrogen, C1-C5-alkyl, C1-C5-alkoxy or halogen, and M represents Li, K, an alkaline earth metal or ammonium, characterized by, firstly, reacting a compound of formula (2) with a di- or trialkylamine containing 6-12 carbon atoms in each alkyl group, in a two-phase system consisting of strong aqueous mineral acid and a water immiscible organic solvent and, secondly, reacting the resulting lypophilic ammonium salt with LiOH, KOH, an alkaline earth metal hydroxide, ammonia, a mono-, di- or trialkylamine or a tetraalkylammonium hydroxide, all containing 1-4 carbon atoms in each alkyl group; mono-, di- or tri(C2-C4)alkanolamine, morpholine, piperidine or pyrrolidine.(FR) L'invention porte sur un procédé de préparation d composés de distyryl-biphényl sulfonés de la formule (1) dans laquelle R1 et r2 représentent, indépendamment, hydrogène, alkyle C1-C5, alcoxy C1-C5 ou halogène, et M représente Li, K, un métal alcalino-terreux ou ammonium. Ce procédé se caractérise en ce qu'il consiste, premièrement, à faire réagir un composés de la formule (2) avec un di ou trialkylamine contenant 6 à 12 atomes de carbone dans chaque groupe alkyle, dans un système biphasique comprenant un acide minéral aqueux fort et un solvant organique non miscible dans l'eau, et deuxièmement, à faire réagir le sel d'ammonium lipophile obtenu avec LiOH, KOH, un hydroxyde de métal alcalino-terreux, ammoniaque, di- ou trialkylamine ou un hydroxyde de tétraalkylammonium, tous contenant 1 à 4 atomes de carbone dans chaque groupe alkyle; un mono-, di ou tri(C2-C4)alcanolamine, morpholine, pipéridine ou pyrrolidine.
