  o-, m-, and p-(3, 4-Dihydroxyalkenyl)benzaldehydes were selectively prepared via palladium-catalyzed Heck-type coupling reactions of o-, m-, and p-bromobenzaldehydes with 3, 4-di(tert-butyldimethylsilyloxy)-1-alkene.
