  The mechanocheinical syntheses of four pi-pi stacked arene-perfluoroarene co-crystals comprising naphthalene or biphenyl and octafluoronaphthalene or decafluorobiphenyl are reported. The results of mechanochemical reactions between the co-crystals and the alternative arene or perfluoroarene demonstrate that exchange can occur, and also indicate the partner preferences of each reagent.
