Cl2BNMe2 using the reagent combination P(NEt2)3CF3Br in sulpholane. Compound I undergoes [2 + 2] cycloaddition reactions with tBuNCO and Cl2BNMe2 to yield the four-membered heterocycles CF3(Cl)BNMe2C(O)NtBu (II) and CF3(Cl)BNMe2BCl2 NMe2 (III). Addition of HCl to I formed CF3(Cl2)B · NHMe2 (IV). The Cl atom in I has been substituted by RMgX (REt or iPr) to yield the respective aminoboranes CF3(Et)BNMe2
