An innovative sensor for the detection of nerveagents in the gas phase based on a carbon nanotube field-effecttransistor was developed. A high sensitivity to organophosphorus gases was obtained by modifying gold electrodes with specific tailor-made self-assembled monolayers.
A chemical receptor specific to traces of organophosphorus agents (OPs) has been synthesized and grafted to a siliconnanoribbon field‐effect transistor (SiNR‐FET). X‐ray structures illustrate the structural modifications of the receptor upon exposure to nerveagent simulants. A highly sensitive and selective detector of OPs can be obtained by monitoring the Drain‐Source current of the SiNR‐FET at
