A carbazole compound in which the 2-position of a dibenzofuran skeleton or a dibenzothiophene skeleton is bonded to the 3-position of a carbazole skeleton and nitrogen of the carbazolyl group is bonded to the 9- or 10-position of an anthracene skeleton directly or via a phenylene group was able to be synthesized.
