  The present invention refers to a polymer blend comprising (i) between 10wt% and 99.9 wt%, with respect to the total weight of the blend, of a thermoplastic host polymer, provided it is not a polyborosiloxane; and (ii) between 0.1 wt% and 90 wt%, with respect to the total weight of the blend, of a disulfide-containing self-healing polymer comprising a first polymeric chain fragment comprising one or more disulfide moieties and at least one moiety selected from the group consisting of -N(R1)-C(=O)-N(R2)-, -N(R1)-C(=O)-O- and –N(R1)-C(=O)-S-, wherein each R1 and R2 is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C1-C24-alkyl and C6-C15-aryl. The invention also refers to use of said blends, for example as cable sheaths.
