Neuartige Ni0-katalysierte reaktionen zwischen 1,3-butadien und phenylisocyanat

By varying the (Lig)Ni0-system and the reaction conditions, new catalytic products are obtained from 1,3-butadiene and phenyl isocyanate in which two, three or four 1,3-diene molecules are coupled with one isocyanate. The structures of the products were determined by H-1 and C-13 NMR by techniques including 2D-INADEQUATE. The reported reactions open up the possibility of producing either delta-lactams or cyclopentancarboxylic acid anilides with high selectivity. The reaction mechanisms are discussed.
