ABSTRACT An efficient one-pot four-component condensation of naphthols with formaldehyde, carbon disulfide and secondary amines in water is described for the synthesis of 1-(dithiocarbamatomethyl)-2-naphthols and 2-(dithiocarbamatomethyl)-1-naphthols.
