A water-resistant ink composition contains water, an anionic dye and a water-resistance modifier which contains as an effective component a sparingly water-soluble compound comprising at least one oleophilic group selected from an aromatic ring and an aliphatic hydrocarbon having 6 - 12 carbon atoms, and at least one hydrophilic group having at least one of O, N and S atoms.

(A) a composition of
(a) a crystalline ethylene-propylene block copolymer,
(b) a thermoplastic elastomer having a substantially saturated main chain, and
(c) an inorganic filler;

(i) a hindered nitrogen-free phenolic antioxidant;
(ii) a nitrogen-containing hindered phenolic antioxidant;

A photochromic composition comprising (a) 100 parts by weight of a di(meth)acrylate compound represented by the formula (I):
wherein R¹s each independently represent hydrogen or methyl, Rs and R³s each independently represent alkylene having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, X represents halogen other than fluorine, Y represents oxygen or sulfur, and m is an integer of 0 to 4, and (b) 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a photochromic compound. The photochromic composition is excellent in heat resistance, mechanical strength, adhesion to a hard coat layer and moldability, and the photochromic properties thereof is highly resistant to light. By the use of the photochromic composition, a thin and light-weight photochromic lens or the like can be obtained.

Disclosed is a film-forming coating solution comprising a matrix and a fine particulate compound oxide composed of oxides of titanium, silicon and zirconium and/or aluminum. This film-forming coating solution can form a colorless and transparent film of high refractive index which is excellent in dyeing property and adhesion to the substrate. Also disclosed is a synthetic resin lens of high refractive index having a film (hard coat film) formed from the film-forming coating solution on the surface. This synthetic resin lens is free from interference fringe and has a reduced thickness.

A thermoplastic resin composition comprising:
(A) a thermoplastic resin,
(B) a surface active agent in an amount of 0.01 to 30 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the thermoplastic resin, and
(C) an organic compound in an amount of 0.01 to 30 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the thermoplastic resin, said organic compound being a functional group-containing organic compound and containing 0.1 to 10 mmol/g of a functional group having two atoms a, b bonded to each other whose atomic charges Ea, Eb, as determined by calculation of molecular orbital method, satisfy the following relation (1):0.25 ≤ |Ea-Eb| ≤ 0.7 wherein Ea and Eb represent atomic charges of the atom a and the atom b, respectively.
If films are produced from the thermoplastic resin composition, the films exhibit antistatic properties and anti-fogging properties immediately after the films are produced, and they retain stable properties over a long period of time.
