Reactions of (i-Pr2N)2PH with the tetrahydrofuran (THF) metal carbonyl complexes (THF)M(CO)5 (M = Cr, Mo, and W), (THF)Fe(CO)4, and (THF)Mn(CO)2-C5H5 give (i-Pr2N)2PHM(CO)5 (M = Cr, Mo, and W), (i-Pr2N)2PHFe(CO)4, and (i-Pr2N)2PHMn(CO)2C5H5, respectively. One of the diisopropylamino groups in these complexes can be selectively cleaved with hydrogen chloride to give the complexes i-Pr2NP(H)ClM(CO)5
