  The synthesis of six new glycerophospholipids with choline-analogous head groups by enzymatic transphosphatidylation with phospholipase D is described. Starting from 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine primary or secondary N-heterocyclic alcohols and (2-hydroxyethyl) trimethylarsonium were substituted for choline in two-phase systems.
