Treatment of Me2SiBr-CBr(SiMe3)(2) with n-BuLi in the presence of 'Bu2MeSiN3 (Et2O at - 110 degreesC) leads to the Silanimine Me2Si=N(SiMe'Bu-2). which reacts at - 40 degreesC with 'BuMe2SiN3 or 'Bu2MeSiN3 to the silatetrazolines Me2Si=N(SiMe'Bu-2)(Me3-n'Bu-n)SiN3 (n - 1, 1c or n = 2, 1d). According to X-ray structure analyses. 1c and 1d contain a planar SiN4-ring with two methyl groups being coordinated to silicon and two silyl subsituents to the saturated N-atoms.
