  The reactions of lithium N,N-bis(trimethylsilyl)aminomethyl acetylide with electrophilic reagents offered a short preparation of substituted and functional propargyl amines. These are shown to be useful precursors of various unsaturated protected primary amines. Addition reactions to the carboncarbon triple bond or isomerisation reactions gave rise to allylic, dienic and α-allenic amines.
