The synthesis and structural characterization of new tetra(fluoroalkyl (silanes, R1R2R3R4Si [where Ri= (CH2)nRF, n = 2 or 3, RF is a perfluorinated chain, linear or branched], and α,ω-fluoroalkylene disilanes, R1R2R3SiR′SiR1R2R3 [Ri = Me, -(CH2)nRF and R′= - (CH2)nRF′(CH2)n- are reported.
