product from [Pt(C2H4)(PPh3)2] and SnMe3Cl is cis-[PtMe(SnMe2Cl)(PPh3)2] has been obtained from 1H and 13C-1H NMR spectra. Similar insertion of platinum into the SnR bond has been demonstrated for a wide range of compounds SnR3X including Sn2Ph6, but the compound SnMe3N : C(CF3)2 undergoes insertion into the SnN bond.
