Perfluoroalkylsilver(I) compounds are obtained via ligand exchange reactions of AgNO3 and Cd(Rf)2 compounds in aprotic polar solvents. Equilibria between the neutral species AgRf · D and the ionic species [Ag(Rf)2]− involve silver(1) ions and exhibit strange solvent-dependency. The 19F- and 109Ag-NMR data as well as the Tt-values have been measured. Reactions with e.g. C6H5HgCl proceed at −30°C within
