Bis(trimethylsilyl) hydrazine reacts with n-BuLi in tetrahydrofuran to give a dimeric lithium derivative consisting of a N-lithium-N′,N′-bis(trimethylsilyl)hydrazide and a N,N′-dilithium-N, N′-bis(trimethylsilyl)hydrazide unit.
