  AbstractA rarely occurring type of hindered rotation was observed by 1H NMR in some N‒(2,2,2‒trichlorocarboethoxy)nortropanes. A complete lineshape analysis gave the activation energy Ea = 56.9 kJ mol‒1 for the rotation around the CH2OCO bond.
