Magnetic properties of the Ti-Mn Laves-phase hydride Ti1.2Mn1.8H0.3 with a relatively low hydrogen concentration were investigated by measuring the magnetization and NMR. The hydride behaves like cluster glass with T-C = 40 K. At low temperature, we found H-1 and Mn-55 zero-field resonances (at 24 and 47 MHz, respectively) in addition to the nonmagnetic signals observed at around zero-Knight-shift positions, indicating that magnetic Mn atoms with a moment of -0.3 mu(B) coexist with nonmagnetic ones, and that the H atoms occupy mainly two different crystallographic sites. A relatively large hyperfine field corresponding to a hyperfine coupling constant of 1.8 T/mu(B) is present at one of the H sites, suggesting strong hybridization between H and Mn atoms.
