We report the preparation of two bifunctional silyl triflates, 1,1,4,4-tetramethyl-1,4-disila-1,4-butanediyl-bis(trifluoromethanesulfonate) and 1,1,5,5-tetramethyl-1,5-disila-1,5-pentanediyl-bis(trifluoromethanesulfonate). Detailed synthetic procedures and characterization data are described.
