  将铂 (II) 催化的丙炔酸加氢芳基化应用于噻吩，我们发现与噻吩的反应主要提供双噻吩化产物。在三氟乙酸中存在 K2PtCl4（2 mol%）和 AgOTf（8 mol%）的条件下，噻吩与丙炔酸乙酯的反应在温和条件下有效进行，以良好的产率得到 3,3-双（取代噻吩基）丙酸乙酯。与丙炔酸而不是乙酯的相同铂(II)催化反应以高产率提供双(取代噻吩基)丙酸。

  Platinum-catalyzed hydroarylation of alkynes was applied to thiophenes. Reaction of thiophenes with ethyl propiolate in trifluoroacetic acid in the presence of a K2PtCl4/AgOTf catalyst gave bis(substituted thienyl)propionates in good yields. The same Pt-catalyzed reaction with propiolic acid proceeded efficiently to provide bis(substituted thienyl)propionic acids in high yields.
