氨基磺酸镍是一种优良的电镀主盐,为深绿色透明液体,在高温或较低pH值下易发生水解。它易溶于水、液氨和乙醇,微溶于丙酮,水溶液呈酸性且具有吸湿性,在潮湿空气中会迅速潮解。在干燥空气中缓慢风化,并受热时会失去四个分子的水分。温度高于110℃时开始分解并形成碱式盐,继续加热生成棕黑色的三氧化二镍和绿色的氧化亚镍混合物。

由于其镀层内应力低、电镀速度快且溶解度大,无污染等优点,氨基磺酸镍已成为近年国际上发展较快的一种电镀主盐。它广泛应用于精密电镀、电子、印刷线路板电镀、汽车、航天、兵器、造币、冶金、镍网、无线电、镀镍、金属着色、镍催化剂、陶瓷褐色颜料、彩色铝合金等行业。

氨基磺酸镍能够提供所需的镍金属离子并兼起导电盐的作用。其镍盐含量高,可以使用较高的阴极电流密度和快速沉积。但浓度过高会降低阴极极化,分散能力差且镀液的带出损失大;镍盐含量低则沉积速度慢,但分散能力强,能获得结晶细致光亮的镀层。然而,氨基磺酸镍稳定性较差且成本相对较高。

氨基磺酸

氨基磺酸是一种具有氨基和磺酸基的双官能团化合物,是一种硫酸衍生物,能与多种物质进行化学反应。其水溶液具有与盐酸、硫酸相同的强酸性,又被称为固体硫酸,不挥发、无臭味且对人体毒性极小。但皮肤不能长时间接触氨基磺酸,更不可进入眼睛。常温下较为稳定,能在数年内保持不变;当温度达到209℃时开始分解。

它易溶于水和液氨,微溶于甲醇而不溶于乙醇、乙醚、烃类和二硫化碳。虽然其水溶液呈强酸性,但对金属的腐蚀性较一般无机酸小,尤其对铁的腐蚀作用缓慢。添加氯化钠可使其产生盐酸,从而有效地溶解铁垢,并可用于去除铁、钢、铜、不锈钢等材料制造设备表面的水垢和腐蚀产物。氨基磺酸是唯一可用作镀锌金属表面清洗的酸。

生产方法

合成法将氨基磺酸与氢氧化镍反应生成氨基磺酸镍。经过浓缩、结晶、离心分离后制得成品:

将150 kg氨基磺酸投入反应釜中,加入热蒸馏水搅拌溶解。再加入100 kg碳酸镍,在回流状态下反应数小时直至无CO₂放出,结束反应。然后将反应液打入薄膜蒸发器浓缩、冷却结晶、过滤和离心脱水后干燥得成品。
