  Vinyl azetidines can be converted to nitro olefins , or to unsaturated aldoximes –, which are useful precursors for intramolecular nitrile oxide - olefin cycloadditions (INOC). Such INOC reactions proceed with a fair degree of stereoselectivity producing novel heterocycles.
