methylphenylsilylene, phenyl(trimethylsilyl)silylene, and mesityl(trimethylsilyl)silylene with allyl ethyl ether have been investigated. Irradiation of dodecamethylcyclohexasilane in the presence of allyl ethyl ether at 10°C afforded 2-ethoxy-1,2-dimethyl-1-silacyclopropane, while similar photolysis at 35°C gave allylethoxydimethylsilane.
