  Fertilizer liquid compositions comprising an aqueous solution of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium macronutrient components are disclosed. The nitrogen is provided by a water-soluble urea-formaldehyde reaction product which is absorbed at about the same rate as other macronutrient components present in the fertilizer composition. The compositions of the present invention avoid phytotoxicity and metabolic imbalance in plants and provide for healthy plants with increased yields and a highly efficient utilization of nutrients when used either alone or in combination with other micronutrients, in foliar feeding of field crops such as legume and cereal grain crops and in turf care, horticulture and silviculture.
