The molecules of the invention comprise a moiety which increases the binding affinity of molecules for the protein binding site in prostate cancer cells (PCs), and which is also fluorescent. In one embodiment the invention molecules are an inhibition system that can be used to target over-abundant or hyperactive VGSCs selectively in pain, epilepsy or prostate cancer, inhibiting the proliferation of PCs. The fluorescent moiety also facilitates screening, tracking, and pharmacodynamic studies of the drug in a biological system both in vitro and in vivo.
A sample analysis method capable of improving separation accuracy of at least hemoglobin A2 and hemoglobin S and downsizing an analysis device is provided. The method includes separating hemoglobin in a sample in an alkaline solution having a pH between 7.5 and 12.0 and containing a cationic polymer by capillary electrophoresis.

An electroactive actuator includes a polymer electrolyte and an electrode configured to apply an electric field to the polymer electrolyte, the polymer electrolyte includes a self-assembled block copolymer including a conductive block and a non-conductive block, a compound to form a single ion conductor with the self-assembled block copolymer, and a zwitterion.
