The reactions of subvalent species generated by the reaction of dichloro(diisopropylamino)borane with sodium/potassium alloy with unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbons, have yielded the following compounds: the 2,5-dihydroboroles I and II from 1,3-dienes; the 1,3-dihydrodiboretes III and IV from alkynes and the 1-bis(diisopropylamino)boryl-2-trimethylsilylethyne V from bis(trimethylsilyl)ethyne. The compounds
