Aminoboroxines have been prepared from the reaction of chlorobis(dialkylamino)boranes with mercuric oxide. Chlorobis(di-i-propylamino)borane failed to react and the isolation of bis(n-butoxyphenylboryl)oxide from the reaction of n-butoxychlorophenylborane and mercuric oxide was not successful.
Polycyclic borazines are readily obtained from the interaction of a tris(dialkylamino)borane with a diamine or amine alcohol. In some cases the 2-dialkylamino-1,3,2-boracycloalkanes have been isolated.

The synthesis and properties of a new class of compounds, based on the –B–S–CH2CH2–NH unit, are described. The reaction of trisalkylthioboranes and cysteamine gave a borazine which on reaction with ethylenediamine gave a novel unsymmetrical borazine. The mass spectral fragmentations of these compounds are fully discussed.
