  Depending on the solvents used for crystallization, silver nitrate and the flexible dithioether-type ligand incorporating piperazine diamide [L: 1,4-bis((cyclohexylthio)acetyl)piperazine] readily formed two distinct types of 2D (1) and 3D (2) coordination polymers with identical formula [Ag-2(NO3)(2)L](n).
