  The invention relates to novel compounds of the formula: wherein R¹, R², X and "Ar" are as defined in Claim 1; as well as pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts and stereo isomeres thereof. The compounds are described as having central sterotonin activity with prefer­ence for the serotonin 5-HT1A receptors, which indicates usefulness in the treatment of CNS disorders, including anxiety, depression and aggression, or in diseases related to cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and renal systems. Also methods of preparing said compounds and pharmaceutical compositions containing same are described.
