  As a part of a research project on antimalarial agents, a series of hydroxytrifluoromethylbenzylamines and their hydrochloride and ammonium derivatives were prepared and evaluated as potential antimalarial agents. Some compounds were found to have a significant activity against Plasmodium falciparum FCC2.
