The present invention relates to novel prodrugs of primary or secondary amine- or hydroxyl- comprising biologically active moieties and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, prodrug reagents, pharmaceutical compositions comprising said prodrugs and the use of said prodrugs.
Covalent cross-linkages for two oligonucleotide strands or for first and second regions of a single oligonucleotide strand connect sugar moieties of nucleotides on the respective strands or the regions of the single strand. The cross-linkages are connected to at least one strand or region via a space-spanning group. The cross-linkage also can be connected to the other strand or other region via a space-spanning group or via an abasic site located on the other strand or other region.
(Am3+) ions were loaded onto the gold surface to form ion complexes. The IR spectra of the ion complexes were obtained using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy in the attenuated total reflection mode. In this study, we developed a new sample preparation method for SEIRA spectroscopy that enabled us to obtain the IR spectra of the complexes with a small amount of ion solution (5 μL). This is a significant

A process for treating cells within a biological organism in which sonic energy is focused on cells within a biological organism while the frequency and/or the power level of such energy is varied. In addition there is provided a process for synergistically combining sonic energy and other forms of energy, or other therapeutic agents, in the treatment of cells in living organisms. Furthermore there is provided a process for assaying the efficacy of other therapeutic agents with sonic energy.
