(Bu2P)-Bu-t-P=P(Me)Bu-t(2) reacts with [Fe-2(CO)(9)] to give [mu-(1,2,3:4-eta-(Bu2P1)-Bu-t -P-2-P-3-(PBu2)-Bu-4t)Fe(CO)(3)}Fe(CO)(4)}] (1) and [trans-((Bu2MeP)-Bu-t)(2)Fe(CO)(3)] (2)- With [(eta(2)-C8H14)(2)Fe(CO)(3)] in addition to [mu-(1,2,3:4-eta-(Bu2P1)-Bu-t-P-2-P-3-(PBu2)-Bu-4t)Fe(CO)(2)(PMeBu2)-Bu-t}Fe(CO)(4)}] (10) and 2 also [(mu-(PBu2)-Bu-t)mu-P-Fe(CO)(3)-(PMeBu2)-Bu-t}Fe(CO)(3)}(2)(Fe-Fe)] (9) is formed. 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 875.0(2), b = 1073.2(2), c = 3162.6(6) pm and beta = 94.64(3)degrees. 2 crystallizes in the monoelinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 1643.4(7), b = 1240.29(6), c = 2667.0(5) pra and beta = 97.42(2)degrees. 9 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 1407.5(5), b = 1649.7(5), c = 1557.9(16) pm and beta 112.87(2)degrees.
