(CO)5CrEPhmH3-m (E=P, As; m = 1,2) react with alkynes with insertion into the PH or AsH bonds to yield LnM derivatives of vinyl-substituted phosphines (III, VI, VIII) or arsines (X, XI). The insertion of the acetylenes is stercospecific: trans-addition of the acetylenes HCCR (R = Ph, PPh2, Me2Si(CCH), (Me)(Ph)Si(CCH)) used yields the compounds (CO)5CrPPh2(CHCHR) (III, R = Ph; VI, R = PPh2) or (CO)5CrP(Ph)(H)(CHCHR)

Thiophene functionalized silicon-containing aggregation-induced emission enhancement materials: applications as fluorescent probes for the detection of nitroaromatic explosives in aqueous-based solutions

Well-defined organic composite nanoparticles were prepared from perylene bisimide dye and silicon-cored fluoranthene derivate molecules. The composite nanoparticles exhibited good stability and thermal properties. The fluorescence emission of the perylene bisimide dye can be efficiently enhanced in composite nanoparticles based on efficient Föster resonant energy transfer. The composite nanoparticles exhibited tunable emission colors from blue to red by changing the concentration of the perylene bisimide dye. White-light emission with CIE coordinates (0.327, 0.339) was obtained as a good candidate for applications in white optoelectronic devices.
alkynes and diynes with Me3SiI with the aid of NEt(i-Pr)2 occurs smoothly, leading to the formation of mono- and bis-silyl-functionalized alkynyl derivatives.
