Gepotidacin，也称为GSK-2140944，是一种强效的II型DNA拓扑异构酶抑制剂。它是一种新型的候选抗菌药物。在幼年大鼠中，格波提达星未表现出与氟喹诺酮类相关的关节病。此外，在非人灵长类动物模型中，该药对肺鼠疫有效。通过琼脂稀释法测试，Gepotidacin在4 μg/mL和2 μg/mL的浓度下分别抑制了90%的革兰氏阴性和革兰氏阳性厌氧菌分离株。
