    There is now provided a new synergistic fungicidal composition of agricultural and horticultural utilities, which comprises (a) a fungicidal triazole derivative of a particular general formula as a first active ingredient, and (b) a second fungicidal compound selected from among the other fungicidal triazole derivatives, fungicidal imidazole derivatives, fungicidal morpholine derivatives and fungicidal piperazine derivatives as a second active ingredient, and this composition is highly effective to control a fungal disease of plants, especially a powdery mildew of plants caused by a resistant strain of a powdery-mildew fungus resistant to such a fungicidal triazole, imidazole, morpholine or piperazine derivative. There are further provided methods for controlling a fungal disease of plants, especially a powdery mildew of plants caused by said resistant strain of the powdery-mildew fungus, with using said synergistic fungicidal composition or using the two fungicidal compounds separately at a time interval.

    The present invention relates to a method for determining dangerous or pesticidal residues in plastics, which comprises processing a plastic sample to a fine powder, converting the powder into a form accessible for determining the analyte, and determining the analyte. The present invention is thus concerned with the analysis of plastics, in particular trace analysis of residues in plastics. The method advantageously allows the use of microextraction techniques and thus a high sample throughput. The method is especially useful for determining whether or not a plastic sample such as agricultural waste plastics contain pesticidal residues.
