Abstract A large number of SnX4·2L and SnX4·L-L tin(IV) tetrahalide adducts were synthesized and analyzed (X = Cl, Br; L = Me2O, Et2O, THF, Me2S, Et2S, THT, Me2Se, MeCN, Me3CCN, Me3CO, HMPA, TMPA; L−L = (MeOCH2−)2).
