Syntheses of Twelve-Membered Ring Titana- and Zirconasiloxane Compounds and Their Properties as Ceramic Precursor

disiloxane-1,3-diols with diisopropoxidobis(2,4-pentanedionato)titanium(IV) or diisopropoxidobis(2,4-pentanedionato)zirconium(IV) in tetrahydrofuran. Cyclic titanasiloxanes and zirconasiloxanes have twelve-membered rings with the (Si–O–Si–O–Ti–O)2 linkages and (Si–O–Si–O–Zr–O)2 linkages, respectively. The pyrolysis of cyclic titanasiloxanes and zirconasiloxanes provided 2SiO2–TiO2 and 2SiO2–ZrO2 ceramics, respectively
