Rh(I) complexes of S-triazines and azobenzene were found to be very efficient towards the catalytic hydrogenation of alkenes, alkynes at normal pressure, and at room temperature. Reduction of aromatic nitrocompounds, benzaldehyde, and benzil were observed in appreciable amounts only at high pressure and at high temperature.
