[Cp(CO)2FeCH2SiMe2]2NH, Cp(CO)2FeSiMe2CH2Fe(CO)2Cp and HSiMe2CH2Fe(CO)2Cp has been achieved by the reaction of NaFe(CO)2Cp with an appropriate halomethyl silicon derivative. Reactions of the hydrosilylmethyl complex with Ph3CCl, Ph3CBF4, and CH3OH produce the corresponding silicon-functional chloro, fluoro and methoxy derivatives.
