A process for stabilizing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer or oligomer from premature polymerization is disclosed whereby a stabilizing amount of an amine, preferably a substituted hindered amine, in combination with phenothiazine or other related heterocyclic moiety is added to said polymerizable monomer or oligomer. The ethylenically unsaturated monomer or oligomer encompass vinyl monomers or oligomers bearing at least one polymerizable moiety. The combination of substituted hindered amine plus phenothiazine inhibits premature polymerization in the liquid and/or vapor phase.

The use of an amine of the formula (I)
in which the R1 to R5 radicals are each as defined in the description, and an absorbent and a process for removing acidic gases from a fluid stream, especially for selectively removing hydrogen sulfide over carbon dioxide. The invention also relates to particular amines suitable for selective removal of hydrogen sulfide. Absorbents based on amines of the formula (I) have high selectivity, high loading capacity and good regeneration capacity.

A method for producing a resin additive composition is a method for handling, as a solid, a compound that can maintain a liquid state or fluid state at 100° C. for 30 minutes or longer, and includes causing 100 parts by mass of a styrene-based elastomer (A) to be mixed with 50 to 250 parts by mass of a compound (B) that can maintain a liquid state or fluid state at 100° C. for 30 minutes or longer. A resin additive composition is obtained by mixing 100 parts by mass of a styrene-based elastomer (A) with 50 to 250 parts by mass of a compound (B) having a melting point of 100° C. or lower.
