in SN2 reactions and also differs from that found for the reaction of alkyltrineopentyltins with bromine in methanol. Comparison with previous work shows that in contrast to the very large effects of the alkyl group being removed, there are only minor effects due to the alkyl groups on the leaving tin atom.
