  Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Verbindungen der Formel (I) worin der Rest R1 aus -NH2, -NH2-ZAZ sowie einwertigen Alkyl- und Arylresten ausgewählt ist, die Reste A jeweils unabhängig voneinander aus den Phosphorylresten DOPO-, DPhPO- und DPhOPO- ausgewählt sind und die Indizes x, y, und z jeweils unabhängig voneinander für 0 oder 1 stehen, wobei zumindest einer der Indizes ≠ 0 ist, indem in einer ersten Stufe Melamin oder, wenn R1 ein Alkyl- oder Arylrest ist, das entsprechende Alkyl- oder Arylguanamin mit einem oder mehreren der entsprechenden Phosphinylchloride DOP-CI, DPhP-CI und DPhOP-CI umgesetzt wird, um einen oder mehrere Phosphinylrest(e) an die Aminogruppe(n) des Melamins oder Guanamins zu binden, und in einer zweiten Stufe der/die Phosphinylrest(e) durch Reaktion mit einem Oxidationsmittel zu dem/den entsprechenden Phosphorylrest(en) oxidiert wird/werden.
