  Benzoylguanidine der Formel I mit R(1) oder R(2) gleich R(6)-S(O)n- oder R(7)R(8)N-O₂S- und dem jeweils anderen Substituenten R(1) oder R(2) gleich H, F, Cl, Br, J, Alkyl, Alkoxy oder Phenoxy, R(6)-S(O)n oder R(7)R(8)N- und R(6) gleich Alkyl, Cycloalkyl, Cyclopentylmethyl, Cyclohexylmethyl oder Phenyl, R(7) und R(8) gleich Alkyl oder Phenyl-alkyl- oder Phenyl, und worin R(7) und R(8) auch gemeinsam eine C₄-C₇-Kette sein können, und worin R(7) und R(8) gemeinsam mit dem Stickstoffatom, an das sie gebunden sind, ein Dihydroindol, Tetrahydrochinolin oder Tetrahydroisochinolin-System bedeuten können, und mit R(3),R(4) und R(5) gleich Wasserstoff, Alkyl oder R(3) und R(4) gemeinsam einer Alkylenkette oder R(4) und R(5) gemeinsam einer Alkylenkette, und mit n gleich Null, 1 oder 2 sowie deren pharmazeutisch verträgliche Salze sind hervorragende Antiarrhythmika.
